Our Mission
To provide safe venue for the development of team and individual sportsmanship; making way for growth in the characteristics of honesty, self-discipline, and team play. To provide an opportunity to improve marksmanship by promoting organized shooting competitions, trainings, and activities.
History
Aim High Shooting Co. began as a God-sized dream.
As we shared the vision to expand the current rifle-pistol range on our property (initially built in 1970’s as a training site by the National Guard) into a trap-shooting facility, God placed on the hearts of many individuals and local businesses to come along our side and supply multiple resources to complete it.
Since our first high school trap meet on May 19th, 2018, Aim High Shooting Co. has been a proud competition site for multiple schools and their students every spring, serving as a platform for their shooting sport endeavors. In addition to the school shoots, fall leagues have also taken place to serve the local community in their enjoyment of shooting sports. The rifle-pistol range also serves as training for police, sheriff, and the DNR Hunter Safety.
Families enjoy time together through competition and coming on their own to use the facility to increase their skills in shooting sports, sighting their fire arms for hunting, and a fun place for family gatherings enjoying shooting sports together while picnicking. We expanded the facility in the spiring of 2024 with our first Skeet field. Our vision is for another Skeet field, Sporting Clays, and a new building to be added in future years. We welcome you and your families to enjoy this peaceful, great outdoors the Lord has graciously provided us.
Bill & Laura Simon have lived in Iowa for thirty years while raising four children. Bill is an avid hunter and county lineman, while Laura teaches their children at home. They both have enjoyed serving their local church and community and witnessing God’s goodness to all people.
They desire to see families and individuals to build relationships while expanding their fire arms skills through their facility and its opportunities of training.

These standards guide how we care for the space, ensure safety for all visitors, and maintain the family-friendly atmosphere we value. By following the rules below and additional guidelines in our waiver, guests play a key role in creating an enjoyable environment for everyone. Please note that Aim High is not responsible or liable for injuries caused by misuse of the facility, equipment, or firearms, nor for any lost or stolen property.
